I KNOW HOW TO KEEP AN IDIOT BUSY.

In one of the evenings at the convention in Texas, the gifted saxophonist, Pastor Kunle Ajayi came up on stage and began to play the popular worship song, Above All, by Michael W Smith. Like the hundreds of people in that auditorium, I was so moved by the music that I jumped up from my seat and began to wave my hands in the air, like I don’t care.
For about a minute, I was so enraptured and lost in God’s presence, I didn’t want the music to end. Then, I accidentally opened my eyes, and I noticed a fellow in front of me. This fellow had on a white T-shirt with an inscription on the back. While I was still worshipping God, I decided to read the words on his T-shirt. It said, “I KNOW HOW TO KEEP AN IDIOT BUSY.”
As soon as I read those words on that T-shirt, I became obsessed in trying to figure out what it meant. For another whole minute I kept twirling those words around in my mind: “I KNOW HOW TO KEEP AN IDIOT BUSY.”
By the time I realized what was happening, the saxophonist had finished ministering and gone back to his seat. It was then it dawned on me that I had allowed myself to be distracted from God’s presence by a goofy T-shirt. The lesson here is simple: When in church, keep your eyes to yourself.
